I know every is all excited about today being the first day of fall, but I'll be honest and share an unpopular opinion here that I do not love fall. I think it's because every day is one day closer to winter, so I spend the season being filled with increasing dread. I'm considering moving full time to the Excellence resort in Punta Cana until May, contingent upon the fact that I win the lottery. Cross your fingers for me.

Ohhhh love the pics!!
What awesome photos! We've been to several places in the Caribbean but never the Dominican Republic! Your resort looks fabulous!
Ohhh my gosh! Take me there!
What I would do to jump through my screen right now. Beautiful pictures!
What a beautiful resort! Forget living there until May, I want to live there forever!
Beautiful pictures!
Those pictures literally turn my face into the heart-eyes emoji. Amazing! Fall can stay far away!
Yep! These were the pictures I wanted. Thanks for my daily dose of jealousy. So beautiful and now I'm longing for a beach vacation...and might just buy a scratch-off tonight.
I do love fall, but you're right - its one step closer to winter... & that, I agree, just isn't fun at all :( ... I totally 10000% hate winter... I'll just go live in this place of warm waters, blue skies.
Looks like heaven!! I'm fine with winter coming because I'll be planning a vacation - you have to stay sane from all the snow! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
What a beautiful place!! Great pictures!! Looks like you had a great time.
Now, I ADORE fall, but if every day looked like these pictures from your trip, then I would gladly give it up!! What a gorgeous place!
Calling my hubs now and asking him to book our trip. Lol.
My goodness, that place is gorgeous. I want to live full time there too. You look so perfectly relaxed and sun kissed. Goodness, vacation is awesome!! As for fall. I'm okay with it either way as our weather is mostly mild year round. This is the first year ever actually looking forward to cooler temps though since it's been freakin' hot for a really long time.
LOVE the honesty - and I'd totally choose your tropical paradise vacation over boring old fall ;)
It is perfectly okay to not love fall!!! I am a fan of fall + winter (i like the clothes better, what can I say?) but I will take this vacation any day of the weeeeekkkkkkk.
Shut UP! This is where my husband and I went for our honeymoon- like this exact resort! It was AMAZING! We went in January 2014... I would love to go back.
Gorgeous photos-this looks like such a fun vacation! And I'll confess that I'm happy with only about the first two weeks of a season before I'm ready to move onto the next one. :)
Punta Cana is one of my favorite places ever - so gorgeous there! And I'll co-sign your non-love for fall, as growing up in the northeast I never liked fall because it meant old-man-winter was coming. Now that I live in the south, I still love the warmer longer days of summer ;-)
I absolutely LOVE fall BUT I wouldn't mind moving to Punta Cana with you if you do win the lottery. Keep me in mind.
I do love Fall and strangely enough, I like Winter too. But after looking at these photos, I think I could easily change my ways! :)
Love these pics!!! We went to Cancun in July and it was a long overdue trip but after looking at these I think I need to go again!! Pretty sure my hubby owes me after all this house renovation.
Oooo! I want to go! Beautiful pictures!
Oooo! I want to go! Beautiful pictures!
I am totally with you on fall! I hate knowing that winter is just around the corner!
omg! Gorgeous pictures! This post actually makes me feel guilty for loving Fall! lol ...I use to feel the same way about the seasons as yourself but as I got older my mind has changed but I totally get where you are coming from :)
Talk about a little piece of Heaven on Earth!
Looks like you had a fabulous time!
This looks so awesome! Seems like you really enjoyed the trip!
With a summer like that I wouldn't be ready for fall either! As soon as I win the lottery I'll join ya in Mexico ;)
I love the summer as much as the next...but my hair loves the fall weather. Haha
I like to follow hotels I've stayed at on a Instagram to relive the memories.
Wow these pictures are gorgeous! I sure do love fall, but if I lived in a place like that i think I could do without it. Haha.
Wow, it looks like it was an amazing vacation! I love all of the pictures. I went to the Caribbean (Turks & Caicos) in 2012 and I fell in love with the Caribbean ocean. <3
I'm so glad you had a wonderful vacation.

These pictures are so dreamy!
So creaking beautiful! I need to get back to the DR soon
That looked like Heaven! I don't think I would be able to ever leave that poolside.
Well that is downright gorgeous! If I lived there I'd be a bigger fan of summer myself.
ps you instagram icon didn't take me anywhere!
Great photos! I love the photo of you jumping the waves with your hand clutching your goggles. Great pic of you guys horseback riding too.
I love the photo of you jumping in the waves. The Notebook style :)
This post just made me miss my beach vacation. I can't wait to go back next year!!!
That beach looks STUNNING. Your thoughts on fall are how I feel during spring and my increasing dread of the summer heat, but I would stomach the heat to dive into those waves. I NEED A REAL VACATION.
This looks like such a relaxing and fun trip. I've never been to Punta Cana but it's definitely on my list :).
I think if I lived in the north I'd feel the same! I hate winter. If fall could be a majority of the year and we had a shorter winter and summer I'd be all about it. Since I'm currently in the south, summer sucks. I'll welcome fall and winter with open arms, but I bet I'd feel like you if I live there. We just can't win, can we! (PS- totally stalking your blog tonight. Apologies!)

Oh, come on! Winter is beautiful! ;) That being said, I wouldn't mind living in Punta Cana for a couple of months, so if you have any luck, let me know. My fingers and toes are all crossed for you!
