Whenever I have a bad day at work, I think about what job sounds amazing to me that day that isn't the one I have. One of those jobs is to be the person who names nail polish. Nail polish always has the most ridiculously awesome names, and I think it would be so fun to be the one to come up with those crazy titles.
I've also considered greeting card writer, librarian, and for a while I was on a florist kick. How could you ever have a bad day as a florist?
But recently, I've been thinking that my ideal job might be working at Fresh Market. This summer I've been going there once a week to get the Little Big Meal, which is when they sell all of the components for a meal for just $20. It's usually enough to feed us for two nights, which in my opinion, is a deal.
Here was our meal this week.

Not only is the food delicious, but the store is beautiful. The produce is brighter and the flowers smell better, the music is lovely, and the employees are so polite. It's like a spa.
Last week I got a few bottles of iced tea while I was there. The flavors sounded delicious but it wasn't until I got home that I noticed the descriptions.

I mean, I am a human being and I have never frolicked through a field and then cannon balled into a secret swimming hole.
I feel like we may be giving a little too much credit to cranberries.
However, I did agree with the description of a peach as a happy go lucky fruit. I feel like that personality fits a peach. And then I started thinking about what the other fruits would be. Bananas would be cheap and boring, but dependable. Much like myself.
Cherries would be high maintenance. Strawberries would be a little unpredictable, and blueberries would be sweet and unassuming.
Wait until next week when the personality of VEGETABLES will be coming to a blog near you!
Anyway, that night I decided to paint my nails, and I chose a very pale blue, because it felt summery yet understated. It was the Sally Hansen kind that you can get at Walmart for $1.97. I know what you're thinking. TYPICAL BANANA.
As I got the polish out I made it a point to look at what the color was called, and imagine my disappointment when I saw the name.
Breezy Blue.

BREEZY BLUE?
That's the best Sally Hansen could come up with?
I think the nail polish namers have jumped ship and are now working over at Tazo Iced Tea writing flavor descriptions.

I have never been to Fresh Market but I just looked to see if there was on semi-near me so I can check out this $20 meal sometime! My nails are currently "Don't Give A Glam" & "Stick To Your Guns" by Salon Perfect.
OPI and Essie have the best names, and I agree! I fantasize about fun jobs like that. Greeting card writer is one of mine.
Haha, Sally Hansen isn't creative. Maybe they need to hire you!
I will definitely be checking out Fresh Foods! You had me cracking up at the end of this post - but I do think you are right...breezy blue is a little lack luster!!! HA HA
I love reading the descriptions on beverages- I feel like the teas of the world always have some pretty good ones :) The name polish color is just lazy, though! Sheesh.
I love this. Your meal looks delicious. I love an amusing description on a product. One said "looks weird, taste great"
I LOVE Fresh Market. It's the only place I get my chicken. And I don't know about your Fresh Market, but mine puts boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale every Tuesday and it's only $2.99 a pound!! I always go and load up once every couple of weeks and freeze it!
Breezy Blue is such a cop-out name. You're hired Laura!
Hmm I love cherries and cherry everything! That description is a little concerning to me, hahaha. I love buying Essie polishes and OPI becuase they have the best names! Right now I'm wearing berried treasure... haha, clever!
