Last year, I saw an idea on Instagram about taking a photo in the same spot every single month for a year. I decided to try it, and I started last August. I chose a spot on the little walking trail in my neighborhood, because I walk there nearly every night anyway in the nice weather, and took a photo on the 28th (or pretty close) of every month. I took my twelfth photo this weekend, and it's so cool to look back on the entire year.

I tried to do that with my front yard tree every DAY at the exact same time for a month - I wanted to capture the trees changing color .... & then that was the year, the leaves never changed. It was so warm, they stayed on the tree till December & then one day, all fell off - never changed.
I jinxed it.

That's so awesome! I've wanted to do that before but I never stay put long enough to find a spot. Apparently where I'm living now would have been the place to do it, there is a cute park right behind me & I've been here for over a year now. However, I don't plan on still being here next year. Maybe I should start just in case...

This is SUCH a cool idea, Laura! It's kind of funny that you only got one month with snow on the ground! A little unusual in the northern part of the country! I love the changes from month to month!
